Types of Australian Shepherds

Aussies can also be divided into four categories based on the four fabulous coat colors of the dog. These categories are Black Australian Shepherd, Red Australian Shepherd, Red Merle Australian Shepherd, and Blue Merle Australian Shepherd.

But is there really a difference between them, or is it just the color? Well, let’s take a look.

Australian Shepherds of three sizes are active dogs that need daily exercise. Some suggest that the Standard Australian Shepherd requires more exercise, while the Toy variety needs less. All three varieties can live in apartments as long as they get enough daily exercise.
